Strike notice served to Supdt Of Post Offices, Sambalpur dt 14.06.2011

Dear Comrades,

                        As per the instruction of CHQ, New Delhi all the employees of Postal/RMS/MMS/Postal Accounts/Administrative Union and GDS Union will go on Indefinite Strike wef 05.07.2011. In this connection the Strike notive have been served to the Supdt of PO's, Sam,balpur Division, Sambalpur on 14.06.2011 in presence of the AIPEU, Gr-c, Divisional Secy, Postman & MTS, Divl Secy and GDS Divl Secy.So, comrdes you all are requested once again to be prepared for the Strike.

Note :-1) Regarding the Indefinite Strike wef 5.7.2011 a General body meeting will be held on 25.6.2011 ( Saturday) at 6 O'clock evening in the premises of Sambalpur H.O.Campus. The NFPE speaker Com.R.N.Dhal and Circle President Com.K.C.Pattanaik will preside the meeting . All the employees of Postal and RMS are requested to attend the meeting.

Note:-2) A Divisional Working Committee meeting will be held on 26.6.2011 ( Sunday )at 10 O'clock in the premises of Sambalpur H.O. campus.The Divisional Office bearers are requested to participate in the meeting positively.

Am I an active member, quite strong and bold,

Or, I am just satisfied because my name is enrolled ?

Do I know my constitution with goals and objectives,

Or just careless because known to my leaderships ?

Am I aware of the activities undertaken by  my union,

Or just I have kept a watch on the problems of my own ?

Do I attend the meetings regularly and try to realize,

Or just stay at home and intend to criticize ?

Do I keep any interest for welfare of the mass,

Or just satisfy my own, saying “Yes Boss” ?

Do I like to come together with the flock,  

Or just stay alone to find fault  and knock ?

Have I ever visited a member who is sick,

Or shift the responsibility to a few and talk about the clique ?

The existence of my Organization is at stake – Am I aware,

Or my status and pension are intact ! – Am I quite sure ?

Post Offices will be closed and a Company will rule,

If I don’t react to save , won’t I be a  fool ?

Things will be outsourced and there will be a blow,

What shall I do and where shall I go ?

Helter-skelter everywhere, false assurances perplexing,

Can’t I do something to see my people smiling ?

India is mine, so also India Post and its employees,

Right time has come for me to know and realize.

July 5^th Indefinite Strike is the right occasion to answer,

Active participation for a total success irrespective of cadre.

If not this time, everything will be wrong,

Let me think, if I am  an active member, or just belong ?

'People earning up to Rs 5 lakh need not file IT return'

New Delhi, May 31 (PTI) As many as 85 lakh salaried tax payers with an annual income of up to Rs 5 lakh will not have to file income-tax return from now onwards, a finance ministry official said.

"No income-tax returns would be required for salaried persons earning up to Rs 5 lakh per annum. We would notify this in first week of June," outgoing Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes Sudhir Chandra told reporters here.

The scheme would be applicable from assessment year 2011-12 onwards.

CENTRAL JOINT COUNCIL OF ACTION DECIDES

TO SERVE STRIKE NOTICE ON 14TH JUNE 2011

INDEFINITE STRIKE WILL COMMENCE FROM 5^TH JULY 2011

The Central JCA comprising NFPE, FNPO and GDS Unions has decided to serve the notice for the Indefinite strike to Secretary, Department of Posts, on 14^th June 2011. The Indefinite Strike will commence on 5^th July 2011. Copy of the strike notice will served to all Chief PMGs, PMGs and Divisional Superintendents after conducting massive demonstrations. All are requested to make the programme a grand success. Copy of the strike notice will be exhibited on 6^th June in all the Websites. Central JCA leaders are meeting at Delhi on 06.06.2011 at 11:00 AM

Likely Dearness Allowance for July 2011 for Central Employees

Though it is very early to predict the D.A. for July 2011 at this point of time, we are being flooded by queries in this relation. It may be realized that D.A. is complete based on arithmetical calculation on All India CPI (IW) (Base 2001=100), the data for the entire six months is required to calculate the installment of D.A. payable. The labour bureau has released the figure for Jan, Feb and March as 188, 185 and 185 respectively. We are yet to know the figures of April, May and June. If we assume that there is no further increase or decrease in the numbers {maintains the current level for the next 3 months}, the D. A will be 7% from July 2011. It is again reminded that it is only an assumption, the correct figure will be uploaded as soon as data available.

REVISED VACANCY POSITION OF GROUP-B EXAMINATION

As per the directions of the Hon'ble CAT Chandigarh Bench, Directorate has issued orders on 27.05.2011 revising the vacancy position for PS Group B Examination held on 29.05.2011. The revised vacancy position is as follows:
