Cleanliness of the postoffices under National Cleaning Drive

               In order to materialise the "Spotless, Presentable and welcoming" look of all the post offices of sambalpur Division under National Cleaning Drive,the supdt of Postoffices, Sambalpur Division,Sambalpur vide his letter no- SP/Misc/2014 dated 17.07.2014 has issued the following directions/instructions to all Postmaster(s)/Sub-Postmaster(S) under Sambalpur Division for its implementation by 20.07.2014.

1. All the signages should be properly painted and name board written properly.

2. Counter Should have proper signages as per work allocation.

3. Public utility forms should be stacked properly and kept neatly in store room.

4. Weeding out of old records strictly observing preservation period.

5. Removal of extra, unused and unserviceable furnitures, equipments, almirahs, notice boards.

6. Painting /Touch up of stains to make it spotless.

7. Cleaning of all electric fittings such as fan,light etc.

8. Painting of all letter boxes especially office letter boxes.

9. Thorough Cleaning of garden, campus , surrounding of all offices

10. Making provision of adequate lighting arrangement in public as well as counter area.

               The AIPEU(Gr-C),Divisional Branch whole heartedly support the initiative taken by the Divisional Superintendent and hereby urge/request all the PM(s)/SPM(S) of Sambalpur Division to accord their highest priority by extending full co-operation for timely completion of special drive for  cleanliness of the postoffices.

Rate of Income Tax for 2014-15

                      In the Budget Proposal for the current financial year, the new Government has proposed revision of  income tax  slab (amount of non-taxable income  is likely to  be enhanced from Rs.200000/- to Rs.250000/-) as well as  the deduction under section 80C is likely to be  enhanced from Rs.100000/- to Rs.150000/-. The proposed Income Tax slab for the financial year 2014-2015 is as under.

Grant of Motor Cycle and Computer Advance for 2014-15

Applications have been called for from the eligible official(s) of Sambalpur Postal Region for grant of Motor Cycle and Computer Advance for the year 2014-15 by RO, Sambalpur fixing the last date of receipt of application at RO as 27.08.2014.

Interested eligible officials of Sambalpur Region may apply for grant of Motor Cycle Advance and Computer Advance through their Divisional Heads.

Next Union Meeting

    The next monthly union meeting with the Supdt of Post offices, Sambalpur Division, Sambalpur is  scheduled to be held on 18.7.2014. Therefore, all members are requested to submit their official grievances/problems(if any) for submission of agenda to be taken up in the said meeting. Expected DA from July-2014

   The present rate of DA is 100% with effect from 01.01.2014 and all are enthusiastic to know the hike of  DA rate from July-2014. The  DA rate may  touch 107% from  July-2014  subject to the declaration of the Central Government during September-2014.
